SOLUTION OF 17 PROBLEMS FROM 36 ACUPRESSURE POINTS

A PERSONALISED APPROACH TO YOUR WELL BEING

The word "acupressure" sounds like that's related to acupuncture practice, but you may be surprised to learn that this natural therapy doesn't rely on needles for use. While acupressure treatment uses the same points as acupuncture on the body and shares some similar philosophies derived from traditional Chinese medicine, the practice involves manipulating the patient with the hands.
Acupressure Points

Acupressure is a particular form of massage that relies mainly on the use of thumbs, fingers, and palms to apply pressure on the body at different points. Throughout practice therapists can use different rhythms, stresses, and techniques.
If an acupressure massage technique is used by a practitioner, they either target local points, or trigger points. What's the difference between these two dot types? Local points are the exact areas on the body where the patient has pain or discomfort. Trigger points are those related to the points of the pain or discomfort felt in the body. These two types of points multiple avenues from which the practitioner approaches the problem of a patient, a benefit of the practice.

TYPES OF ACUPRESSURE

  • There are several different forms of acupressure and each practitioner may use a range of approaches to draw from.
  • Shiatsu, a Japanese technique based on ancient Chinese principles, is among the most popular.
  • Zen Shiatsu practitioners use their entire bodies as a tool for exerting heavy energy.
  • Barefoot Shiatsu practitioners bring their feet and their hands into play to rub and press acupressure points.
  • Practitioners use their hands in the Chinese acupressure variation known as Tui Na, for massage like kneading motions.
  • Reflexology is a form of acupressure involving pressure points on the feet and hands at times.

SELF ACUPRESSURE

  • The self-Acupressure is a cost-effective treatment and no special equipment is needed; all you need is your own finger!
  • You can use fingers, knuckles or thumbs to press and you can also buy items that you are pressing for.
  • Anytime it can be performed by itself anywhere.
  • Every area of the body needs a different amount of pressure.
  • If pressure on a point hurts a lot, then use lighter pressure.
  • The calves, the faces and the sensitive genital areas.
  • The back, buttocks, and shoulders usually need a deeper, firmer pressure , especially if the musculature is established.
  • Press on any points you are treating for around 1-5 minutes and give equal time on either side of the body to the same level, as in reality you may feel pain on one side while the problem is actually on the other.
  • Do not try to drill a hole in yourself by using moderate pressure, but just resting a finger on an acupoint will have little effect.
  • If you can't find or know the exact location of your illness, simply press different points on your hands or on your body. Wherever the problem lies, Pressing it will make you feel slight pain. To treat the illness just press the point 1-5 minutes.
