TURMERIC
Turmeric is a scented medicinal flowering plant. Its roots are used in cooking. Is has been used in Asia for about thousands of year and also is a biggest part of Ayurveda-The Hindu system of medicine, Siddha Medicine- traditional medicine originating in Tamil Nadu in India, traditional Chinese Medicine- based on more than 3,500 years of Medicine Practice and Unani- Arabic System of medicine. It is also first used as Dye as it contains chemical bonds that help in coloring.
It Grows in the wild forest of South and Southeast Asia and is collected for use for classical Indian medicine.
Turmeric And Curcumin
Don't confuse turmeric with Curcumin as there is a difference between them. The naturally occurring chemical compound that is found in the spice turmeric is called Curcumin whereas the root of the plant is known as Turmeric- scientifically known as Curcuma Longa. Once the turmeric root is harvested it is cleaned, cured and dried. The dried turmeric roots are then sold as it is in the name of Indian Saffron, Kacha Haldi, yellow ginger, yellow root or ground into fine powder. As Lemon is full of Vitamin C and Milk is full of Protein and Calcium, turmeric is a great source of Curcumin. Several studies believe that curcumin works as multiple functions and has been approached to cure any pain and inflammation, helps in killing tumours and encourages brain health.TURMERIC TEA:
To improve the taste of turmeric tea, most people put additional ingredients. Common recipes to improve absorption include:
- Honey, is the best source to sweeten the tea and contains more anti-microbial properties.
- Almond milk, Cream, Whole milk or one tablespoon of coconut oil or unclarified butter to help with absorption and requires healthy fats to dissolve properly.
- Chemical known that helps promote turmeric absorption is Pepper that contains piperine and also add spice flavor to the tea.
- Ginger and Lemon helps in the enhancement of antioxidant and antimicrobial properties and improves taste.

HOME MADE PACK USING TURMERIC:
- Take one tablespoon of Besan.
- ¼ tablespoon of Turmeric
- One Tablespoon of Raw Milk
- 2-3 drops of Rose Water
Combine all ingredients well to make a paste and apply on your face. Sit relax for 20 minutes and wash your face with cold water.
Apply this once a week for best results.
