Weakness can generally be defined as an extreme lack of energy, or a lethargic or tired feeling. Weakness makes you so sluggish and drowsy that carrying out your daily activities becomes difficult for you. Any other fatigue signs include loss of appetite, excessive sweating, difficulty falling asleep and inability to concentrate.



There may be several reasons for weakness, such as lack of essential nutrients, a weak immune system, incomplete sleep, excessive alcohol intake, smoking, emotional stress, skipping meals, and too much physical labor and drastic lifestyle change.


Weakness Causes 

For a number of reasons you may feel weak including: 


  • Few essential nutrients 

  • Sleep deprivation 

  • Sick with immunodeficiency syndrome like AIDS 

  • Drinking too much 

  • Skipping meals which cause hypoglycemia 

  • Stressing emotions 

  • Medicines 

  • Too much physical exercise 

  • Dysthymia, depression, and bipolar disorder


Symptoms of Weakness 

Weakness will leave you without the strength required to carry out everyday activities. You might feel like: 

  • Drowsy Thing 

  • Fatigue 

  • Applause 

  • Disinterested in the day-to-day work 

Other fainting symptoms include: 

  • Lose appetite 

  • Difficulty focusing 

  • Difficulty Sleeping

  • Bananas 

Bananas contain natural sugars such as glucose, sucrose and fructose which give you a fast boost in energy. Bananas have a high potassium content which transforms sugar into energy. Eat one or two bananas, each time you feel weak. A banana shake or smoothie can also be tried.



  • Milk

Milk is a rich source of vitamin B, lowering weakness. It's also a good calcium source which keeps your bones strong. Drink a cup of warm milk with one teaspoon of honey in it, whenever you feel lethargic. Alternatively, add 1 teaspoon of licorice powder to the warm milk as well. Drink them twice a day.


  • Chow on Almonds 

Almonds are packed with vitamin E that can help you fight overall weakness symptoms and remain energetic. 

The high dose of magnesium in almonds also plays a role in turning protein, fat , and carbohydrates into sources of energy. In certain cases, a moderate magnesium deficiency may be the cause of weakness.

Soak two almonds, one of them dried fig, and a few raisins overnight in sugar. Take the almonds, figs, and raisins off in the morning and drink water. Peel the almonds and eat, followed by the figs and raisins.


  • Season with Strawberries 

This low calorie supplement to a healthy diet can help you stay energetic all day. Strawberries are packed with vitamin C, an antioxidant which helps to repair the tissue, boosts immunity and prevents free radical damage. 

Strawberries have the properties of anticancer, antidiabetes and anti-obesity. They are known to help protect the nervous system and the heart.


  • Sip on a Coffee Cup 

The caffeine in coffee is beneficial for the brain and gives you an instant energy boost. Beyond making you feel strong, it can help increase endurance, increase concentration, decrease pain, and boost your metabolism rate. Drinking coffee in moderation won't harm your health.


  • Acupressure

It is a touch therapy which uses pressure to revive the body on certain specific body points. Putting pressure on the points between the brows of the head, shoulder muscle 1-2 inches from the side of the lower back, under the kneecap, on the outer part of the chest, three finger widths below the belly button, etc., will relieve general weakness.


  • Oats  

Oats are great energy boosting components. It is loaded with carbohydrates and fiber which help to prevent cramps of hunger. In oats magnesium and phosphorus have the potential to put off tiredness and exhaustion.


  • Stick eggs in your diet 

Eating a well-balanced diet is of paramount importance to keep away fatigue and weakness. It can be really helpful to include eggs in your diet, as they are loaded with nutrients such as protein, iron, biotin, vitamin A, folic acid, riboflavin, and pantothenic acid.

  • Garlic

Garlic has astringent and anti-inflammatory properties which remedy a weak immune system. Daily, one can consume raw garlic clove.


  • Somnifera withania (ashwagandha) 

It is an anti-inflammatory agent that stimulates the immune system by nourishing brain cells, and prevents fatigue from occurring. You could take ashwagandha 3-4 grams per day. Alternatively, blend and drink the substance with warm milk.


Do’s 

  • Wake for 6-8 hours total. 

  • Take a break from your everyday routine, if it feels very weak. 

  • Eat as much food as you like. 

  • A warm shower can make you feel relaxed and refreshed, before going to bed or after work. 

Don'ts

  • Breakfast is the day's most important meal so don't miss it. 

  • Do not smoke cigarettes, caffeine, alcohol , tobacco and illegal drugs. 

  • Evite exposure to sun and hot environments.
